Our little family got out yesterday for a walk.
Michael was so excited that he got to participate in this as he's usually at work when Little A and I go out and about.
Earlier in the day, Little A and I had gone down to check the mail. I decided that it might be cool to take her doll buggy and see how she did. She was a rockstar. She didn't fall or stumble the whole way down the hall, in the elevator and down to the lobby (and was great the whole way back). I might mention that she had no shoes on for this journey.
So when Michael got home, I thought it might be nice, since our weather has been so decent, to take a family walk to the park across the street. Little A took her buggy with her TouTou tucked very nicely inside. She was very proud that she got to take TouTou for a walk.
We had to put shoes on her (little Robeez) but she still did really well. It took her a while to get used to the extra resistance on her feet but once she did, she was off like a pro. She even pushed the buggy up a long hill.
Today is the first day that she has used walking as her primary mode of movement, even seeming to really enjoy it. So, I do think our little walk yesterday helped her confidence quite a bit in the walking arena. We'll definitely be going on more walks with the buggy to further encourage muscle development and confidence.
How super cute!! She looks very proud (and rightly so!).
